The site consists of the stone remnants of an abandoned homestead group, surviving in minimal structural condition. The main elements comprise of two stone fireplaces and a stone wall base of one room. The Northern most fire place was part of a small hut of two or possibly three rooms.
The remains of the original Glen Helen Homestead are a complex of "bush crafted" structures and are historically significant to the Northern Territory as a reminder of a way of life no longer practised in modern Central Australia...
